Festival Camping Gear Community Donations

Not only will we remove the camping gear waste for free, but for every 100 tents we salvage, we will donate 5 tents to the charity of your choice; we aim to help the community while also putting an end to “one-time- use” waste at music festivals once and for all! Already partner with a waste management company? Totally fine! Are the charities or nonprofits they’re donating to experiencing an overwhelm of gear donations? RentyTent will collect the remaining gear for free to put towards affordable rentals for festival attendees in the future! Then that gear will be reused over and over, giving camping gear the love and use it deserves while creating affordability and convenience for the festival community, and reducing festivals carbon footprints.

Why Do Festivals Need this Service?

DOESN’T EXIST:

There is no existing service that seeks out gear waste within the festival campgrounds to then recycle it back into the festival community to end gear waste for good. Waste management services exist to remove trash, compost, and maybe donate gear, and some donation bins exist at festivals for camping gear- but as a festival goer who’s been to over 30 festivals, I didn’t know these bins existed until I started doing research for my own initiative! So, who else is unaware? Who else is throwing their gear in the trash because they don’t know a better option exists? My team will market for festivals ahead of time, “leave your campsite up if you were planning on trashing it, we’ll take it down for you, reuse it, and end gear waste entirely!” We also aim to collaborate with festivals to provide affordable options to have pre-set up used gear campsites for the average Joe who wants to camp and not glamp.

CREATE ORGANIZATION AND SAVE CAMPSITE SPACE:

Setting up campsites ahead of time for the festival will create more campsite organization and enforce attendees to not go outside their campsite boundaries creating respectful and enjoyable campsite sizes for all!

GET ATTENDEES OUT OF THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS QUICKER:

Not only does this create a desired affordability and convenience for festival attendees, but when people are slow going packing up on Monday, being able to leave their campsites standing will help traffic flow out of the festival quicker because they won’t have to spend the time packing up their camping gear.

AVAILABILITY TO MORE POPULATIONS:

I personally know many festival goers who avoid festivals they have to fly to because it’s such an inconvenience to bring camping gear- especially canopies and coolers! Creating this service would increase the likelihood of attendees out of state and out of country to also come to the festival because the camping rentals are super affordable, their sites would be set up ahead of time and taken down for them, and they’d be able to pack more desired items in their suitcase instead of camping gear!

Imagine we keep expanding to the point that almost every festival attendee utilizes these services and we end camping gear waste once and for all!
